NJCAA Dakota College at Bottineau head women’s basketball coach Larry Roberts has resigned effective immediately. The college released a short statement which read in part:
“We thank Coach Roberts for the time he has invested with DCB,” Campus Dean Dr. Carmen Simone commented. “Of course, we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Athletic Director Carolyn Rygg added, “During this time our focus is supporting our student-athletes.”
A decision on appointing an interim head coach decision will be made shortly, and a search to fill the vacant position is being planned.
Roberts was in his third season as the Lumberjacks head coach. He put together a 28-44 overall record during his time at DCB, including a 3-2 mark so far this season.
