Niagara adds Nuffer as Director of Women’s Basketball Operations and Player Development

Niagara women’s basketball head coach Jada Pierce announced that Skylar Nuffer has been named the Director of Basketball Operations and Player Development.

Nuffer returns to the Niagara bench after being the head student manager from 2018-21 while obtaining a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Niagara University.

Following her graduation from Niagara, the Portville, N.Y. native joined Pegula Sports and Entertainment and served as a business development intern for the Buffalo Sabres.

Last season, Nuffer joined the St. Bonaventure coaching staff as the video coordinator with the Bonnies. With St. Bonaventure, along with overseeing video, she planned team travel, oversaw internal scheduling along with overseeing five student managers and a graduate assistant, among other responsibilities.

“We are so excited to welcome Skylar back home! Skylar was a vital part of our program in her undergraduate years as our head manager. This should make for a smooth transition for her” Pierce said.

“She brings a professionalism, passion and work ethic that is unmatched. Skylar will build strong relationships with our student athletes, across campus and in the community in no time!”

Nuffer is ecstatic to return to Montegle Ridge. “I am very excited to be back at Niagara! I want to thank Coach Pierce and the rest of the staff for welcoming me back to a program that has a bright future.”
