UMass Lowell Does Not Renew Contract of Women’s Basketball Coach Jenerrie Harris

UMass Lowell Director of Athletics Dana Skinner announced today that the contract of Women’s Basketball Head Coach Jenerrie Harris will not be renewed. A national search for a new head coach will commence immediately.

“I extend my thanks and gratitude to Coach Harris for her hard work and commitment during our elevation to Division I,” stated Skinner. “This was a difficult decision that followed a thoughtful assessment of the women’s basketball program.”

Harris owned a 25-91 record in four seasons as head coach, after winning 14 games in her first season in 2014-15.

She was named the seventh head coach in the history of the program on June 26, 2014.

The women’s basketball team ended its season on Wednesday, February 28th after a 73-65 loss at UMBC in the opening round of the America East playoffs.
