St. Francis College Women’s Basketball Welcomes Assistant Coach Robert Isme

St. Francis College Brooklyn women’s basketball Head Coach Linda Cimino announced the addition of Robert Isme to her 2021-2022 staff as an Assistant Coach.
 
“I’m excited to add Rob to our staff. He’s a New York native with local ties and has had a successful career out on Long Island. He will be a great addition working with our post player development as well as our local recruiting efforts,” noted coach Cimino.
 
Isme joins the Terriers after finishing a long tenure as his alma mater, New York Institute of Technology. Working alongside Veteran Coach Kenny Parham, Isme was the top assistant for the women’s team since 2016. He began his tenure at New York Tech in 2007 where he first served as an assistant, and later as the interim head men’s coach.
 
Isme joined the Bears as an assistant coach in 2007 after serving as the varsity assistant coach for three seasons at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, N.Y. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the freshman team in 2005-2006, and became the head junior varsity coach from 2006 to 2008. Isme was a three-sport athlete at Half Hallow Hills High School East, lettering in football, basketball, and track and field. As a senior, he received the Golden Key Award for earning nine varsity letters. 
 
In addition to his coaching duties, Isme also served as the Coordinator of Campus Recreation, a position he held since 2015.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from New York Institute of Technology and is completing his Masters of Business Administration in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University.

He currently resides in Uniondale with his wife Zaibis, and son, Maximus.
