Mittie Named Director of Operations at Arkansas State

Arkansas State head women’s basketball coach Brian Boyer has announced the addition of Logan Mittie to his coaching staff as the Director of Basketball Operations for the 2015-16 season.

Mittie’s primary responsibility will be to serve as the team’s travel coordinator. In addition, she will handle all facility scheduling and arrange community service and promotion engagements for the staff and team, assist in the team’s social media efforts and coordinate the team’s meals when on the road.

“Logan comes from a basketball family and certainly understands the demands and expectations of this business,” Boyer said. “Her background in broadcasting combined with her experience as a collegiate basketball player is going serve her well in the role of Director of Basketball Operations.”

Mittie, the daughter of former A-State and current Kansas State women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie, graduated from Texas Christian University in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Broadcasting.

She was a member of the TCU women’s basketball team for the 2011-12 season before moving into a student coach role for the 2012-13 campaign. Mittie also served as an operation supervisor for the TCU campus, one of the highest leadership positions a student can hold at the university.

In the fall of 2013 she began working as a talent intern for TCU Athletics where she provided color commentary for volleyball and women’s basketball games. She also worked for the Big 12 Conference as an analyst for the 2015 women’s basketball championship and served as an intern at CBS Channel 11 in Arlington in the summer of 2014.
