Description:

Responsible for coaching and assisting administratively, with camps, scouting, and recruitment of student- athletes.  Monitor the academic progress and eligibility status of student-athletes.  Maintains equipment, participates in fund raising and public relation activities and with special projects as assigned by the Head Coach.

* The expected hire date is June 1st – July 1st *

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching games and practices to include: team instruction and game planning during the championship segment, individual skill instruction during the non-championship segment, youth instruction in summer camps and clinics, practice preparation , scouting and film review.
  • Skill evaluation and recruitment of college-bound student-athletes
  • Monitoring and ensuring the academic progress and ongoing eligibility of currently enrolled student-athletes
  • General administrative task and public relations activities as assigned by the head coach

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior collegiate basketball playing or coaching experience
  • Ability to pass NCAA Recruiting test annually is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior success at the NCAA DII basketball level as a player or a coach.
  • Prior professional experience as a player or coach in the sport of basketball.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Regulations is preferred.
