McKeithen Named Head Women’s Coach at Penn State Greater Allegheny

Tre McKeithen was recently named to be the new Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Penn State Greater Allegheny. McKeithen served in the role on an interim basis for part of the 2021-22 season and led GA to a PSUAC semi-final birth in the playoffs.

He will remain as an assistant coach for the Greater Allegheny Men’s Basketball team.

Coach Tre played Division 1 basketball at Saint Francis University where he had the opportunity to help develop his teammates into pros. After Saint Francis, he became a student coach at Point Park University for two seasons.

After Point Park he had the offer to play professionally, but declined so he could start his journey as a coach. He landed at Carolina Basketball Academy while also doing NBA Pre-Draft training for his own company, “Team DreamCatcher”, where he does skill development.

Athletic Director, Korie Morton – Rozier said, “We are very pleased to have Tre led our Women’s program. He showed excellent leadership last season and we hope he and the team will build upon the succes they had.”

The 2022-23 season opens officially on October 1 with games beginning in November.
