Omega Tandy is no longer the head women’s basketball coach at Garden City Community College (KS). She has been replaced on an interim basis by Mike Harding.

Tandy was hired as the head coach back in June of 2019. She had been a high school coach in her home state of Indiana before coming to GCCC. Last year, she led the Busters to a 14-17 record – they are currently 5-9 this season (0-5 Jayhawk).

Harding began this season as an assistant on the men’s team. He had previously coached at the HS and AAU levels.

ALSO…this is not the only program in the league where a men’s assistant is currently serving as a women’s interim/acting head coach. More on the other one soon….
