Gulf Coast State named Kuhn as new Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Gulf Coast State College is pleased to announce that they have hired Coach Rory Kuhn to become the new Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Rory Kuhn will begin work immediately to assist with the recruiting efforts for the 2021-2022 basketball season.

Rory Kuhn has a vast coaching background developing student athletes at all levels, which has led him to possess an expansive network of coaching relationships to recruit the best student athletes possible. Coach Rory Kuhn brings 18 years of coaching experience, with 8 of those at the College level. He has made stops at Northwest Florida State College and St John’s University.

As an added bonus to Division I experience at St. John’s University, Rory has Panhandle experience with Northwest Florida State College.

During his tenure at Northwest Florida, Kuhn helped guide the Raiders to an unprecedented level of success. Northwest Florida made three-straight NJCAA Elite Eight appearances, a pair of Final Fours, and took home the 2014-15 National Championship. In four years with Kuhn on the sidelines, Northwest Florida compiled an 111-19 record and won three Panhandle Conference championships. Additionally, Kuhn recruited and coached 5 different All-Americans and Panhandle Player of the Year Award winners to go along with 100% graduation rate in his time at Northwest Florida.
