Bomar named Women’s Basketball Coach at Northampton CC

Northampton CC Director of Athletics Troy Tucker has announced the hiring of Terrence Bomar as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball program. “We are very excited to welcome Coach Bomar to the Northampton family,” stated Tucker, “his passion for basketball, coupled with his experience and contacts in the industry are exactly what we need right now to bring our program back to national prominence.”

A highly successful basketball coach in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos area, Bomar served as an assistant coach at NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College from 2016-18, head girls basketball coach at East Stroudsburg North from 2012 thru 2016 and as an assistant at Dieruff from 2010 – 2012. Most recently, Bomar spent the last two seasons as a volunteer boys basketball assistant coach with Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg North.

Lackawanna earned a NJCAA DII national tournament berth during Bomar’s tenure, while East Stroudsburg – North had one their most successful runs in their history under Bomar’s direction.

Bomar currently serves as the Assistant Principal at East Stroudsburg South High School, after previously serving as the Dean of Students in 2018-19.  Prior to ES South, Bomar held positions at JT Lambert Intermediate, Smithfield Elementary and East Stroudsburg High School North, all in the East Stroudsburg Area School District, as well as Hiram W. Dodd Elementary School and Louis E. Dieruff High School, in Allentown School District.

Bomar graduated from Kutztown University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in sport management. In 2010 he earned a Master of Education in elementary education and a certificate from ESU.  Bomar earned his second Masters degree from ESU in 2018 in Administration Leadership.

Bomar and his wife Krystal reside in Stroudsburg with their four children; Tianna, Pacifico, Dakarai and Markell.
