Binghamton Women’s Basketball Staff Update

The Binghamton women’s basketball program has announced the hiring of Trevor Andresen and Tyler Williams to its coaching staff for the 2023-24 season. Andresen will serve as the Director of Basketball Operations while Williams will be the Coordinator of Player Development/Video Coordinator.

“I’m excited to round out my staff with the additions of Trevor and Tyler,” head coach Bethann Shapiro Ord said. “Both come from successful programs on the men’s side and bring an enthusiasm for the sport that will translate to the culture of our program. Trevor’s background in team travel will serve him in his role as Director of Operations and Tyler’s experience with video will aid him in his role as video coordinator. Both will have dual responsibilities on the court which will provide our players with more opportunities for player development.”

Andresen was a Graduate Assistant with the Florida State Men’s Basketball Program the past two seasons (2021-23). Working under longtime head coach Leonard Hamilton, he played a role in player development, scouting and film breakdown as well as travel and recruiting.

A 2021 graduate of NCAA Division III La Verne College (located in California), Andresen was on the men’s basketball team from 2018-20. In 2021, he was a volunteer assistant coach at Marana High School in Arizona.

“I am very fortunate and thankful for the opportunity to join Coach Ord’s staff,” Andresen said. “I am excited to join the community of Binghamton while assisting the staff in the pursuit of an America East championship.”

Williams, meanwhile, was a graduate assistant with the Northern Kentucky men’s team that won the 2023 Horizon League championship. He was involved with all facets of practicing, recruiting and scouting for the Norse.

A 2021 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Williams was the head student manager during his season year with the Rams. He was a student manager with them all four years. Williams assisted with daily operations as well as production of film.

“I am excited to be a part of the Binghamton women’s basketball family,” Williams said. “I can’t wait to help the program grow to the next level.”

With the addition of Andresen and Williams, the Bearcats have completed their coaching staff for the upcoming season. Shapiro Ord, Associate Head Coach Devan Newman and Assistant Coach Maggie Moore were on the staff last year. Nick Moore, who was hired as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator/Defensive Coordinator last month, was also on the Binghamton staff from 2019-22.
