Mirzaian elevated to Acting Women’s Basketball Head Coach at Pasadena City College

Alexa Mirzaian, an assistant on last year’s staff, has been named Pasadena City College acting head coach of the women’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season.

Mirzaian is also head coach of the Burbank High girls basketball team.

Mirzaian played college basketball at Glendale College in 2012-14 after playing her prep ball at Crescenta Valley High. 

She graduated from Cal State University Northridge in 2017 with a bachelor’s in kinesiology and exercise science, then earned her master’s in healthcare administration at Southern New Hampshire University in 2020.

The Lancers begin the ’25-26 season on Saturday, Nov. 1 with the 2-day, PCC Sisterhood of Champions Tournament. PCC opens with a game v. Taft College in a 1 p.m. tip-off at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers will play San Bernardino Valley on Sunday, Nov. 2 in an 11 a.m. start.
