I can confirm that NCCAA Clinton College (SC) will hire Marcus Hunt Jr. as their new women’s basketball head coach.
Clinton College has announced the hiring of Marcus Hunt Jr. as the new head coach of its women’s basketball program. Hunt comes to Clinton after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Shorter University, where he was instrumental in player development and program growth. Prior to his time at Shorter, Hunt served as an assistant coach at Blue Mountain College (now Blue Mountain Christian University) from 2020–22, where he recruited and coached the 2022 SSAC Freshman of the Year as well as multiple All-Freshman team honorees.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., Hunt brings more than a decade of coaching and player development experience, including his work with the Memphis Home Education Association, where he helped develop five Homeschool All-Americans and contributed to a national championship run. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Memphis and a master’s degree in management from Shorter University.
