Montana’s Head Women’s Basketball Coach taking “personal time off”

The University of Montana has released a very brief statement on the status of head women’s basketball coach Brian Holsinger:

Brian Holsinger, head women’s basketball coach, is taking personal time off. In the interim, associate head coach Nate Harris will direct the program.

No further comment was added by the university.

Holsinger is in his fourth year as head coach of the Montana women’s basketball program. He was hired in April 2021 after previously serving as the associate head coach at Oregon State. Holsinger has amassed a 61-47 (.565) record during his tenure at Montana, which includes a 5-10 (1-3 Big Sky) record so far this season.
