Stewart was previously an assistant women’s basketball coach at Otero College, where she was responsible for recruiting, assisting in coordinating practices, activity travel and promoting events.
A native of Hampton, Virginia, Stewart graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a bachelor’s degree in human performance and sport with a minor in health. After graduation, Stewart was a graduate assistant coach at West Texas A&M University for the 2020-21 season. In addition to her collegiate level experience, Stewart earned two state titles while attending Canyon (Texas) High School during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
“I’m very excited to be an addition to the USU women’s basketball staff,” Stewart said. “I’d like to thank coach Ard and the rest of the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work alongside them for the 2022-23 school year. During the interview process, I could tell that the staff and I had similar work ethics and goals, so I am excited to dive deep into this new chapter with such an incredible staff.”
