Western Carolina Adds Jordan Worrell as Director of Ops

Western Carolina head women’s basketball coach Kiley Hill completed his staff for the upcoming 2022-23 season with the addition of Jordan Worrell as the program’s Director of Basketball Operations.

Worrell joins the Catamount women’s basketball staff after completing her masters in sports administration at the University of Alabama, while also working closely with academics and marketing. Prior to Alabama, she was a manager for the NC State Wolfpack women’s basketball program.

“I would like to thank Coach Hill and the entire staff for this opportunity,” said Worrell. “I was born and raised in North Carolina, and I am thrilled to be coming back. I am excited to step into this role and contribute to what Coach Hill and his staff are building. The staff and the team have been incredibly welcoming, and I can’t wait to get to work helping this team to achieve their goals. I am grateful for this opportunity and passionate about this sport and being a part of this community.”

Worrell earned her undergraduate degree in psychology in 2021 at North Carolina State University. She worked with the Wolfpack women’s basketball team as a student manager from 2018 until 2021. As a student manager, she assisted in every phase of a championship-level program from travel to home contest preparations.

“We are so very fortunate to have Jordan joining our staff,” said Hill. “Her background at two high-level athletic departments has provided her insights to meet the demands required in a director of ops role. I’m excited for her and for us as she comes in to help us continue raising the program to new heights.”
