Pratt Community College (PCC) is excited to announce the hiring of Jason Deel as the next assistant women’s basketball coach. Coach Deel started working on campus this week and will make his first appearance on the Beaver bench tonight against Barton County in Great Bend, KS.
“We are excited to add such a quality person and experienced coach to our program and have Coach Deel on staff,” said Head Women’s Basketball Coach Eric Rodewald. “He will be a huge asset not only in basketball, but on campus and in Pratt.”
Coach Deel comes to Beaver Nation from Neosho County Community College (NCCC) where he had been serving as head assistant women’s basketball coach for the Panthers. His hiring was announced back in August and during his time the Panthers compiled a 14-7 overall record.
“First off, I would like to thank Coach Rodewald and Tim Swartzendruber for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the women’s basketball program, said Coach Deel.” “The program is in amazing hands and I am excited to be part of the great things that are happening.”
Prior to his time at Neosho, Coach Deel has made several impressive stops in his basketball career. Including head men’s basketball coach at Stafford High School, assistant men’s basketball coach at Skyline High School, and running the Western Kansas Elite men’s basketball program with head men’s basketball coach Kenny Eddy.
“I have been a Beaver fan for a long time so being welcomed into the PCC family has been a true blessing for both me and my family,” said Coach Deel.
