Head women’s basketball coach Carrie Banks announced the addition of Trevon Tiggs to the staff as a Director of Operations. Tiggs joins the Mavericks after a six year stint at Eastern Michigan with the women’s basketball program.
“I am excited to welcome Trevon to the Omaha Women’s Basketball family,” said Banks. “He has established himself as a bright young star in our industry with a promising future. He brings a great work ethic and passion for the game and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Tiggs spent the last season with Eastern Michigan as a Graduate Assistant. In this role, Tiggs helped prepare workouts, practice, and scouting reports. He also helped monitor team study halls. Tiggs worked closely with the director of operations by maintaining statistics during games, organizing information for recruits, and overseeing student managers.
Prior to his assistantship, Tiggs spent five seasons as a team manger with Eastern Michigan women’s basketball. He assisted at practice with set up, drills, and refereeing. Tiggs helped with filming of practice and games, and organization of team road trips.
In addition to his experience with the women’s basketball team, Tiggs helped out in the department’s equipment room helping maintain the quality of equipment and unpacking product.
Tiggs also spent a summer at Syracuse working men’s basketball camps and assisted Lady Ballers Insider Scouting Service.
