Jon Silver has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Women’s Basketball Operations San Diego State head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson announced.
Silver is in his fourth year with the program and in his 13th season overall working in Division I women’s basketball. He is involved with all facets of the program including scheduling, team travel, fundraising, budget management and the team nutrition plan among many other duties.
Additionally, Silver serves as the program liaison within the athletic department and helps the staff with lineup analysis, plus/minus charts, substitution patterns, late game situations and offensive/defensive efficiencies.
In collaboration with the marketing and ticketing departments, Silver helped the Aztecs shatter both their all-time season attendance records and average game attendance in the 2017-18 season.
Silver arrived on Montezuma Mesa in the spring of 2016 after spending the 2015-16 campaign as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont. A Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) “Thirty under 30” honoree, Silver also spent four seasons at LSU as the program’s director of basketball operations.
The Aztecs next game is Saturday when they host UNLV at 1 p.m. PT.
