Rebimbas Elevated to Assistant Coach at Seton Hall

Head coach Anthony Bozzella and the Seton Hall women’s basketball program have announced the elevation of Jose Rebimbas to assistant coach. Rebimbas has spent the past two seasons as The Hall’s Director of Player Development.

In two years with Rebimbas on staff, the Pirates have earned back-to-back postseason berths with a pair of WNIT bids in 2018 and 2019. In his new position he will work closely with the post players and have a major role in game planning, scouting and recruiting.

“I’m extremely excited to promote from within, especially a Seton Hall alum like Jose,” Bozzella said. “He cares deeply about our alma mater and will help us continue our mission to represent it in the best possible way.”

Rebimbas has over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, including an extremely successful 20-year run as the head men’s basketball coach at Division III William Patterson university. With the Pioneers, Rebimbas was a three-time NJAC and a four-time Met Basketball Writers Coach of the Year.

A former men’s basketball student-athlete at The Hall, Rebimbas was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams including the 1989 Final Four squad. He graduated from Seton Hall in 1990 with a degree in marketing and earned his master’s degree in general professional education at The Hall in 1992.

Rebimbas replaces Nick DiPillo on the Seton Hall staff, who was recently named head coach at the University of Scranton.
