Evangel Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Megan Leuzinger has announced the addition of assistant coach Kevin Clark II to her staff on Tuesday.
Clark comes to Evangel after a season at Valparaiso as the director of basketball operations during the 2017-18 season. He will officially begin his duties on May 15, 2018, at Evangel.
During his time at Valpo, Clark handled a number of duties including assisting in-game preparation, coordinating travel, overseeing team video, and team marketing.
“We are blessed to add Kevin to our coaching staff,” said women’s basketball head coach Megan Leuzinger. “He has a great mind for the game of basketball, but most importantly fully embraces Evangel University’s mission. Kevin’s attention to detail and his tremendous work ethic was noticed right away when I worked with him at Valparaiso University.
I have seen firsthand how he does a wonderful job developing and building relationships with players, and I have no doubt he is going to do that here as well.”
Prior to his time at Valpo, Clark served as a graduate assistant at Liberty University for the women’s basketball team. He was a manager for both the men’s and women’s teams and also served as a practice player for the Flames women’s team.
Clark played two seasons of college basketball, at Southern Connecticut State (2011-12) and Eastern (2012-13) before graduating from Liberty in 2015 with a bachelor’s of science in sports management. He has also coached at the AAU levels from 2012-2014 and served as an assistant coach at Liberty Christian Academy.
