University of Hartford women’s basketball head coach Kim McNeill has rounded out her coaching staff with the hiring of Robin Dolan as an assistant coach. Dolan joins Associate Head Coach Cory McNeill and Assistant Coach Ebony Moore, who were brought on to McNeill’s staff last month.
A Staten Island, N.Y., native, Dolan joins the Hawks from Felician University, where she served as an assistant coach for the Division II women’s basketball program located in Rutherford, N.J., since September 2014. Prior to landing at Felician, she spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the College of Staten Island.
“Robin is a tireless worker who will be a skillful and important recruiter for us,” exclaimed McNeill. “She is well-connected in all of the areas that we will be looking to recruit from. I admire the fact that she is passionate about people, and about helping young women develop both on and off the court.”
Before jumping into the college coaching scene, Dolan spent eight years coaching various AAU teams in Staten Island. She is a former member of the Staten Island Diamonds program who also served as an assistant coach at St. Peter’s Girls High School and Staten Island Academy.
“I am very grateful and excited for this opportunity that I have been given to join the women’s basketball staff at the University of Hartford,” Dolan exclaimed. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Hartford family and to be able to work with Coach McNeill and the rest of the staff. I am really looking forward to helping build something special here at Hartford.”
Dolan earned an associate degree in applied science from the College of Staten Island in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wagner College in 2012. Previously a registered nurse at Staten Island University hospital, she attended the 2015 WBCA Center for Coaching Excellence program in Atlanta, Ga.
