Martin Methodist Adds Assistant

Martin Methodist Women’s Basketball head coach Kyle Bent has officially named Andrea Mize as the program’s new assistant coach.
Mize joins the RedHawks after spending the three seasons as a player at NCAA Division I school Indiana University. During her career at Indiana, Mize appeared in 43 contests for the Hoosiers after joining the squad as a walk-on prior to the 2012-13 campaign.
In addition to her playing career, Mize was also involved in coaching and day-to-day operations while at Indiana as she helped work the program’s Skills and Elite Camps and served in a volunteer video coordinator capacity this past spring. Mize also spent the last four seasons as head coach of the Indiana Flight AAU squad.

“I am very excited to have Coach Mize as a part of the RedHawk family,” Bent said. “She comes from a great program where she played for some extremely knowledgeable and successful coaches. Her experience at the highest level of college basketball will be invaluable to our program. Additionally, her proven commitment to academic and athletic success also fits perfectly in line with the direction we are looking to build our program.”
At Martin Methodist, Mize is expected to help oversee all aspects of the Women’s Basketball program, including recruiting, practice and in-game situations.
“I am very excited to meet the girls and be a part of the RedHawk family,” Mize said. “I want to thank Kyle Bent for this wonderful opportunity and I will do my best to teach the girls everything I have learned and make them the best players they can be.”
Mize replaces former assistant Darryce Moore, who resigned earlier this offseason to pursue other opportunities.
A native of Greenwood, Indiana, Mize arrived in Pulaski earlier this month and has already begun summer camp and recruiting efforts for the RedHawks.
