Whitaker named Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach at USC Salkehatchie

Hannah Whitaker will be assistant women’s basketball coach for the Salkehatchie Indians.

Whitaker began her college basketball career at Dodge City Community College (2013-2015) and helped them make one appearance in the conference tournament as well as achieve a winning season record (2013-2014). She averaged 6.5 points and 9.1 rebounds the first season (2013-2014). She then averaged 7.2 points and 9.3 rebounds the next season (2014-2015). Hannah made 2nd team all-conference as well as placing 8th in the “National Top 10” in rebounds for JUCO.

Whitaker then transferred to Oklahoma Panhandle State University where she played her junior and senior season (2015-2017). She averaged 7.5 points and 8.4 rebounds the first season (2015-2016). She then averaged 7.8 points and 8.7 rebounds the next season (2016-2017). Hannah also finished 3rd in most blocks during the season in the conference averaging 1.9 per game.

Hannah is originally from Tribune, KS. She earned her Health and Physical Education and Psychology degree from Panhandle State University. Currently, Hannah plans to finish her Masters in School Counseling with a Secondary Education Degree.
