Toccoa Falls College has announced the hiring of JT Jones as their new Women’s Basketball head Coach.
Coach Jones has already invested much into the mentorship of basketball athletes, beginning during his own college experience in Tennessee. During his college career, he was a four year starter, spent three years as team captain, and was awarded numerous basketball honors by the NCCAA. He scored over 1800 points in his career and was named Male Athlete of the Year at his school. Following graduation, he coached at the middle and high school levels, worked as a general manager for a Pro Skills team in Nashville, and was involved in youth ministry and education.
Coach Jones shares, “I am very excited about being able to build the Kingdom of God through the game of basketball at TFC. My dream has always been to coach college basketball and be able to help young athletes become the best they can be on the court, while also guiding and building them into Godly leaders. I believe that God is at work in this community, and I am thankful for TFC believing in me and allowing me to join the team. I am excited about the impact that I could potentially make on the student athletes as well as the college. I only hope to continue building onto what Coach Ryals has started.”
With Coach Ryals stepping into coaching Men’s Basketball and Coach Jones beginning his journey at TFC with Women’s Basketball, our community looks forward to seeing both teams take the court this fall. Please join us in warmly welcoming Coach Jones into the Screaming Eagle family.
