Taylor Howell Named Clarkson University Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Taylor Howell is entering her first season as the top assistant for the Clarkson University Women’s Basketball program in 2019-20.

Howell graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Accounting in May 2019. Howell finished her career as the winningest player in program history for the Hawks, as New Paltz won 83 games with her in uniform and advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times, including the Sweet 16 on two occasions. Over the course of her career, she scored 315 points, grabbed 159 rebounds, dished out 100 assists, and added 96 steals. In her senior season, she placed fifth on the team in scoring (6.7 points per game) and was fourth on the team in 3-point field goals made (34).

Howell also was selected to the Dean’s List on three occasions and was an officer for the African Women’s Alliance and for the National Association of Black Accountants at SUNY New Paltz.
