The Roger Williams University Women’s Basketball program is proud to welcome back former Hawk Carly Spagnola ’11 as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.
“I’m excited to be a Hawk again,” said Spagnola. “Coach Thompson and Shelby Buck have done a great job with the program and I’m very lucky to hop on board with them.”
Spagnola was a four-year member of the team and was RWU’s starting point guard for three years. She finished her career with 508 points scored, 227 assists, and 85 steals over her four years. In her senior year, she set a career-high with a 20-point game in a win against New England College.
“I’m thrilled to have Carly back at Roger Williams after a few years away,” said Head Coach Kelly Thompson. “As a senior captain in my first year at RWU, Carly helped establish a strong culture and high expectations for the teams that followed in the years after her graduation. I know she has a lot of pride in being a Hawk, and will bring our program a fresh perspective this season.”
Spagnola currently works as a senior accountant at Towerstream
