Sean Selig Named Loyola Women’s Basketball Video Coordinator

Loyola University Chicago head women’s basketball coach Kate Achter announced the addition of Sean Selig to her coaching staff on Monday.  A Chicago native, Selig will serve as the program’s video coordinator.

“We are thrilled to add Sean to our staff,” Achter said.  “He is eager and detailed, and comes with a wealth of experience from winning programs.”

Selig most recently spent time as a Basketball Operations Assistant with the Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) Chicago Sky.  In his role with the Sky, Selig, who also interned in the team’s marketing department during the 2017 campaign, helped set up practices, coordinated film exchanges, and worked alongside the team’s coaching staff to compile analytics reports.

A 2019 graduate of Syracuse University, Selig served four seasons with the Orange’s women’s basketball program as student manager, a stretch that was highlighted by a Cinderella run to the National Championship game of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.  During his time in The Empire State, Selig collaborated with the video coordinator to facilitate film exchange, code practices, and assist with player development drills.

“I am humbled to have the opportunity to work at this prestigious University alongside Coach Achter and her world-class staff, right here in my hometown of Chicago,” Selig commented.
