Ronnie Enoch Joins Syracuse University Women’s Basketball Staff

Ronnie Enoch has joined the Syracuse University women’s basketball staff as Director of Recruiting and Athlete Performance. Enoch brings valuable knowledge and leadership to the Orange.

“Ronnie has over 20 years of coaching experience,” head coach Quentin Hillsman said. “His experience and basketball pedigree, as a coach, is invaluable. He is well respected in the business and his network is widespread. We are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber to interact with our athletes and coaching staff.”

Enoch joins the Orange after spending two seasons as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Tennessee State University. While at TSU, Enoch was responsible for scheduling and recruitment under head coach Jessica Kern. Prior to working with the Tigers, he spent a year on Kern’s staff at Mississippi Valley State University, where he helped bring in one of the largest recruiting classes in program history. That year the Tigers were one of the top-25 most improved Division I women’s basketball programs.

In 2015, Enoch was the assistant girls’ basketball coach at Hillside High School in Durham, N.C., where he helped lead the team to a 28-2 overall record. Hillside was ranked No. 1 by MaxPreps for the majority of the season en route to winning the conference regular-season and tournament championship.

Prior to his return to the high school circuit, Enoch served as the associate head coach at North Carolina Central for three seasons. While at NCCU, he coached Tisha Dixon en route to her being named to the 2013 MEAC All-Rookie Team. Coach Enoch also assisted with Racquel Davis, who was named to the 2014 All-MEAC. Third Team

Before making the jump to the NCAA Division I level, Enoch spent eight years at NCAA Division II Johnson C. Smith University, where he helped JCSU to its first CIAA Tournament Championship in school history in 2009. During his time with the Golden Bulls, Johnson C. Smith made the CIAA Championship game four times and made five NCAA Division II Tournament berths. From 2004-2012, JCSU posted a 162-78 overall record with Enoch on the bench.

Enoch began his coaching career as an associate head coach for the boys’ team at Parkland High School, where he spent four years on the sidelines. During his tenure, Parkland won the state championship in 1999. Following his stay at Parkland, he had a two-season stint at West Charlotte High School as an assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team.

Enoch earned a bachelor of science and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He has one daughter, Audrey, and two grandchildren, Jaidyen and Amiyah.
