I can now confirm a report by World Exposure WBB that the University of Nebraska Omaha will hire Carrie Banks as their new women’s basketball head coach. She will replace Brittany Lange, whose contract was not renewed following the 2019-20 season.

Banks has been an assistant at Ohio State since 2016, where she has also served as the Buckeyes recruiting coordinator. Before her time at OSU, she spent three seasons as an assistant at Northwestern, and has also worked at South Florida and her alma mater Detroit Mercy.

The official announcement is expected today.
