REPORT: NAIA Rocky Mountain places head coach on leave

According to a report by 406mtsports.com, NAIA Rocky Mountain College (MT) has placed women’s basketball head coach Wes Keller on administrative leave.

According to the report, “Keller was placed on leave by Rocky’s administration after some players objected to what they perceive is an abrasive coaching style by Keller.”

The report also said that, “a handful of Rocky players, perhaps as many as five or six, have opted not to play for the Bears in the meantime as a show of solidarity and support for Keller.

Keller has been the head coach at Rocky Mountain 2014-15. In six plus seasons at the helm, Keller has led the Battlin’ Bears to a 101-90 overall record, including a 1-7 mark this year.
