Quattrocchi named Women’s Basketball DBO at Brown

Brown’s Elizabeth F. Turner ’98 Coaching Chair for Women’s Basketball, Monique LeBlanc has announced the hiring of Devon Quattrocchi as the program’s new director of basketball operations.

Quattrocchi joins the Bears after spending the last three seasons as the women’s basketball head coach at Colby-Sawyer College.

“I am so excited to add Devon Quattrocchi to our staff,” said LeBlanc. “Her experiences both as a head coach, and as an assistant at top academic institutions, will add great value to our program. Furthermore, her experience as a professional basketball player, and an overall elite guard, will be a great asset to our student-athletes. Devon has an excellent reputation in our field and we are thrilled to call her a Bear!”

Prior to Colby-Sawyer College, Quattrocchi was an assistant coach at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). She gained valuable experience with the Lions in developing, organizing and implementing practice plans, creating and implementing progressive skill development of players, recruiting, game strategy, scouting, film breakdown, and the planning and execution a fall clinic.

Prior to TCNJ, Quattrocchi was an assistant coach and a graduate assistant coach at Smith College from 2015-2018. She also spent a year as an assistant coach with the professional team, Vaerlose Basketball Klub, in Denmark.

As a student-athlete at Smith, Quattrocchi guided the Pioneers to 77 wins, an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship and an appearance in the NCAA Second Round. Individually, Quattrocchi was a New England Women’s Basketball Association (NEWBA) First Team All-Region selection and a First Team All-New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) selection. After graduation, she played professionally for a year in Denmark for the Vaerlose Basketball Klub, before returning to her alma mater.
