Oakland University Athletics has announced women’s basketball Head Coach Jeff Tungate will not travel with the team to its games this weekend at Cleveland State and Youngstown State so that he can undergo further medical evaluation for a non-life threatening health issue.

Associate Head Coach Eric Stephan will serve as acting head coach for the games.

The Golden Grizzlies will take on Youngstown State Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. and Cleveland State Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.

Tungate is in his sixth season at the helm of the women’s basketball program.
