Head Coach Jamie Cluesman announced the addition of Molly Land to the women’s basketball coaching staff at UVa-Wise Monday. Land comes to the College after spending a decade in the fitness industry coaching strength and conditioning where she worked at Davidson College and wrote the strength and conditioning programs for fellow Mountain East Conference members Concord University and Shepherd University.

“I am excited to have Molly join my coaching staff here at UVa-Wise, she brings a unique set of skills to our program,” Cluesman stated. “She has a wealth of knowledge in the fitness industry with 10 plus years of experience. Additionally, she knows what it takes to get our program to the top, her playing experience speaks for itself.”

A native of Hope, Ind., Land was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter at Shepherd University where she aided the Rams to the WVIAC title and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2018. Named the Commissioner’s Heart and Hustle Award Winner in 2008, Land obtained a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation from Shepherd with a dual concentration in exercise science and sports communications.
