Michelle Skyles Steps Down as Corban Women’s Basketball Head Coach

Michelle Skyles, Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Corban University, announced she is stepping down at the end of March to return to Idaho.

“My parents are both in their 90’s and living at home,” said Skyles. “I feel the need to move closer to them so I can properly care for them and assist in their final stage of life. “I would like to thank Corban University and Greg Eide for believing in me and providing me this opportunity.”

Corban Director of Athletics Greg Eide stated, “Being a father myself, I cannot envision anything more exemplary a daughter could do than what Michelle is choosing to do at this time. Michelle has brought that same love and passion to our program over the last two years. Her relentless recruiting has positioned us well moving forward with arguably the most talented roster we have had in many years. On behalf of the University and Corban Athletics, I applaud Michelle for her decision and wish the best for her in this next season of life.”

Coach Skyles leaves Corban after posting an overall record of 27-30 in her two seasons, highlighted by appearances in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament both years.

A national search will be underway soon to fill this positon.
