Loyola University Chicago Director of Athletics Steve Watson announced today that women’s basketball head coach Kate Achter’s contract will not be renewed. The Ramblers posted a 67-110 overall record and a 36-72 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play in six seasons under Achter.
“We thank Coach Achter for her contributions to the program over the last six seasons and we wish her and her family the best in their future endeavors,” Watson said.
Loyola posted an 18-12 overall record in 2021-22 and will begin competition as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference next season.
A national search for a new Loyola women’s basketball head coach will begin immediately.
