Lewis resigns at Dickinson State, becomes Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Gillette College

Dickinson State University women’s head basketball coach Liz Lewis has accepted another position as the head women’s basketball coach for Gillette College in Gillette, WY.

Coach Lewis will join the Pronghorns after serving two years as the head women’s basketball coach and sports information director for Dickinson State University.  Lewis’ experience includes head coaching positions at the NJCAA level, NAIA level, and assistant coach at the NCAA level.  She also spent time as an NCAA recruiter and student athlete at the NCAA Division II and NAIA Division I levels.

“I would like to thank Dickinson State University for the opportunity to coach the Blue Hawks for the past two seasons.  I would also like to thank the wonderful Dickinson community for their support of the women’s basketball program.  Thank you to the fans, faculty, staff, alumni and players for the journey,” stated former head coach Liz Lewis.  “I am excited for the coaching opportunity at Gillette College, and I look forward to what the future holds.”

“We appreciate Coach Lewis and all that she did for our women’s basketball program and university.  We wish her all the best in her move to Gillette,” stated athletic director, Pete Stanton.

Her tenure with Gillette College will begin July 1, 2019.  Dickinson State University plans to open the position for application soon.
