Kyle Thomas Announced As Harper College Women’ Basketball Head Coach

Kyle Thomas will be the next coach for the Harper Women’s Basketball Program. Thomas will take over for Coach Stochl who stepped down after the 2018-19 season.  Kyle was an assistant for the Men’s program the previous three seasons and made the transition to the women’s program on Friday.  Kyle is a former Harper Basketball player himself from 2005-2007, making a run to the final four in 2006.

“Harper College is a very special place to me. Being a former student athlete of Harper it is an honor to become the next head coach of the Women’s Program.  I am looking forward to helping these young athletes reach their goals in the classroom and on the court” said Coach Thomas about being asked what it will be like to coach at his Alma Mater.

Recruiting high character players is Coach Thomas top goal entering the 2019 off-season. “Coach Stochl has laid a great foundation for the women’s program at Harper College and I am eager to build off that. I am blessed to be in our district that has a lot of talented high school and AAU programs to recruit from. I cannot wait to get on the recruiting trail”
In addition to playing at Harper College Coach Thomas has strong local ties to the community. He attended Hoffman Estates high school and was part of the down-state team in 2004.
