Description:

St. Cloud Technical & Community College, located in central MN 70 miles west of the Twin Cities, is currently seeking applicants for the Women’s Basketball Head Coach position. St. Cloud Technical & Community College is a National Junior College Athletic Association member and competes in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

Successful candidates should have coaching experience in basketball at the high school or collegiate level. Candidates should have recruiting experience and a working knowledge of the NJCAA’s eligibility requirements for student-athletes.
There may be a potential for additional courses for instruction based upon the candidates education and experience.

Examples of duties:

  • Organize team practices (i.e., setting practice dates and times; equipment transport and maintenance)
  • Organize game management and travel (i.e., taking and managing team statistics)
  • Lead coordination of team recruitment and retention programs (i.e., recruit contact and related follow-up)
  • Coordinate team fundraising program (i.e., help establish fundraising goals, coordinate alumni donor program)
  • Managing operational budget
  • Familiarity with statistical and video sharing software
  • Experience with composing game summaries and website maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Head coaching experience in basketball at the high school or coaching experience at the collegiate level. Bachelor’s degree (in any field) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in any field
  • Recruiting experience
  • Working knowledge of the NJCAA’s eligibility requirements for student athletes
  • Familiarity with Minnesota College Athletic Conference
  • Experience with fundraising
