Mary Baldwin University’s Department of Athletics is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position for the Women’s Basketball program during the 2018-19 academic year.  This individual will report directly to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and will perform tasks assigned, including but not limited to:  attending all practices and games, maintaining statistics for practice and games when needed, managing recruiting database and organizing recruiting information, meeting with recruits and families, monitoring facilities and other office responsibilities as assigned in accordance with NCAA and USA South Athletic Conference rules and regulations.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have exceptional writing and communication skills.  As a former student-athlete, this person should have knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics.   The candidate must be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess strong customer service skills.

This is a 10 month position beginning in August 2018 and is renewable for a second term for a two year appointment.  The position includes room and board, a $2,700 annual stipend and an 18 hour tuition waiver (contingent upon acceptance into the Masters of Education graduate program or the MBA program).  This does not apply to other Masters/Doctorate programs at Mary Baldwin University.  A Bachelor’s Degree, valid driver’s license, First Aid, CPR and AED certification required.
