Description:

Under the supervision of the Women’s Basketball Head Coach this position will assist in a multitude of aspects of practice, game and scouting video analysis and analytics for the Women’s Basketball program. The position will work alongside the Women’s Basketball Video Coordinator both in and out of game and practice preparation as needed including video analysis of current players and recruits. Position will utilize various pieces of information to develop models and reports that assist in game plan and player development. Also this position will oversee video intern scheduling and quality control. Finally, additional team needs in regards to recruiting, external media, fan engagement, marketing, hospitality, and summer camps/clinics will be met as assigned. Any and all other tasks as assigned by the Women’s Basketball staff. Requires attendance at practice and all home games. Evenings and weekend hours are required, as well as occasional travel.

  • Incumbent must have two (2) years experience in Basketball Data Analytics working for a D1 Basketball program.
  • Previous basketball statistical analysis is required.
  • Ability to work in a high paced, multifaceted business and relate to the needs of a variety of constituents including coaches, staff, as well as University colleagues and external vendors.
  • Possess strong knowledge of basketball and basketball strategies and schemes.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaching staffs and administrative staff on a variety of technical levels.
  • Ability to identify, cultivate, supervise and manage student staffing requirements for the women’s basketball program to achieve desired results.
  • Effective listening skills to ascertain communicated problems and to assist coaches and staff, carry out department related tasks, and respond to clarify procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to routinely work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to occasionally travel with team as dictated by need and schedule and provide post game analytics analysis whether on trip or remotely.
  • Demonstrate office skills including working with various applications and responding on telephones in professional manner.
  • Skill in working with detailed reports and having the ability to extract relevant and necessary information.
  • Capability to lift up to 75-100 pounds to transport equipment as needed.
  • Possession of valid California Driver’s License and ability to drive University vehicles and follow all policies and procedures related to the use of those vehicles, in the course of performing job duties.
  • Detailed knowledge of how to patch necessary audio/video connectors to existing equipment for duplication.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with Department, University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
