Fifth-year UNCW women’s basketball head coach Adell Harris has resigned to pursue other interests, Director of Athletics Jimmy Bass announced on Tuesday.

Harris came to UNCW in the summer of 2012 following a three-year stint at Tusculum (Tenn.) College and compiled a 42-112 record in five seasons with the Seahawks. The Seahawks went 11-20 overall and 5-13 in the Colonial Athletic Association in 2016-17.

A national search will begin immediately for Harris’ successor.
