Fralick Announces WBB Staff Title Changes at BGSU

Bowling Green State University women’s basketball coach Robyn Fralick has announced a pair of title changes for members of her coaching staff. Kim Cameron has been elevated to associate head coach, while Karmen Graham has been named recruiting coordinator for the Falcons.

Cameron joined the Falcon program last month after spending 13 seasons on the staff at Michigan Technological University, the final eight as head coach. She compiled an impressive 181-53 record in the latter role, leaving Michigan Tech with the highest winning percentage (.774) in program history.

During her tenure at MTU, her alma mater, Cameron became the first Division II coach in Tech history to lead the team to a national title game appearance, taking the Huskies to the championship game in 2011. She was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year in both 2011 and ’15, and also was the 2011 WBCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year.

“Kim Cameron showed a great commitment to the vision of the program by joining our staff,” said Fralick. “Her previous head-coaching experience will be a big asset to the program as her framework for making decisions from that perspective will be valuable. She is very deserving of this title and I am excited for us to build together.”

Graham also joined Fralick’s staff last month, after spending the 2017-18 campaign at Belmont University. She helped the Bruins to a 30-win season for the first time in the program’s NCAA Division-I history. Belmont finished the season with a 31-4 overall record, and won the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season and tournament titles to advance to the NCAA Championships.

A native of Kettering, Ohio, Graham helped the Bruins break into both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 polls for the first time in program history. Belmont went a perfect 18-0 in OVC regular-season play, and the Bruins ended the 2017-18 campaign having won 46 consecutive games against conference opponents. Prior to her stint at Belmont, Graham spent five years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Northern Kentucky University.

“Karmen Graham is relentless and enthusiastic recruiter,” said Fralick. “We are so excited to have her as our recruiting coordinator. Her connection to this region and relationships with both AAU coaches and high-school coaches is so valuable to our program. She has a great personality and loves the genuine connections formed through recruiting.”

Fralick, who was hired in early April, rounded out her first staff on Monday (June 18) with the hiring of assistant coach Joel Whymer. The staff also includes director of operations Monique Rosati and video coordinator Amanda Cutcher.
