Charles Guthrie, Fordham University’s director of intercollegiate athletics, announced today that the University will move in a new direction regarding leadership of the women’s basketball program, parting ways with Bridgette Mitchell. Fordham will immediately commence a comprehensive national search for its next head coach.

Mitchell went 37-52 (.416) during her three seasons at Fordham, and had previously served as the head coach at Northeastern.
