Fennimore Hired as Susquehanna Women’s Basketball Assistant

Head Coach Gabby Holko announced Wednesday afternoon the selection of Schyler Fennimore as an assistant coach for the Susquehanna University women’s basketball program.

Fennimore arrives at Susquehanna following two years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Bethany (W.Va.) College women’s basketball team.

“Through the interviewing process, Schyler showed that she would be a great fit here at Susquehanna University and especially in our women’s basketball program. Schyler has proven to be a tremendous recruiter with her two years at Bethany College and will help us bring high-quality and high-academic student-athletes into our program,” Holko said. “Schyler is a great addition to our staff and I am looking forward to working with her this upcoming year!”

She brings experience with on-court instruction, recruiting, scouting, film breakdown, student-athlete success and basketball operations.

Fennimore helped the Bison to back-to-back appearances in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament and recruited a two classes of eight for during her two years. She also mentored a pair of All-PAC selections.

The Carrollton, Ohio, native was a four-year letterwinner for the Muskingum University women’s basketball team in Concord, Ohio, as a guard. She contributed to a +5 win turnaround from sophomore to junior year.

Active with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Fennimore served as a representative for three years. She organized and facilitated the first-ever One Love Foundation game for the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.

Fennimore attended the NCAA Inclusion Forum in April 2018. The Forum brings together higher education and intercollegiate athletics leaders and student-athletes passionate about improving the educational and professional environment for student-athletes, coaches and staff.

She graduated from Muskingum in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a minor in coaching. Fennimore then earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Bethany in 2020.
