Falcon Women’s Hoops Announces the Addition of Ashley Miller to Staff

Head women’s basketball coach Chris Gobrecht has announced the addition of Ashley Miller as the Women’s Basketball as Director of Video, Operations, and Administration, starting Monday.

“We are very excited to welcome Ashley Miller to our Air Force women’s basketball family,” exclaimed coach Gobrecht. “Ashley has a diverse background that includes experience in coaching, marketing, development, and event management as well as great familiarity with the Colorado Springs community. We think that her background combined with her exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence will serve to elevate our women’s basketball program to new heights!”

Miller joins the Academy by way of Colorado Springs Sports Corporation where she was involved in multiple facets of events planning and management. Miller also served as the head girls’ basketball coach at neighboring Rampart High School.

“I am truly honored to accept this new role and join a coaching staff that I’ve come to respect and admire,” said Miller. “This is an opportunity that I am thrilled about and could not be more excited to work alongside a dynamic group of people at the Air Force Academy.”

A three-year starter and team captain for the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs women’s basketball team, Miller graduated from UCCS in 2012 with a B.A. in Applied Communications. She furthered her education at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a M.S. in Sports Administration. Miller currently resides in Colorado Springs.
