Dartmouth Women’s Basketball Staff Update

Linda Cimino, Dartmouth’s Gail Koziara Boudreaux ’82 and Family Head Coach of Women’s Basketball, has announced three additions to her staff with the hiring of assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Robert Isme, assistant coach Kerri Reaves and director of operations Hayley Moore.

Isme most recently spent two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator on Cimino’s staff at St. Francis Brooklyn after a lengthy stint at his alma mater, New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). During the 2021-22 season, his first on Cimino’s staff, Isme helped guide the Terriers to a program-best 13 conference victories. The 17-win campaign also featured an upset of Michigan State, which marked St. Francis Brooklyn’s first Power Five triumph in program history.

At NYIT, Isme was a men’s basketball assistant coach from 2008-15 before serving as the Division II program’s interim head coach for the 2015-16 season. He then joined NYIT’s women’s program as an assistant coach and helped guide the Bears to a 2018-19 conference championship, plus a pair of NCAA Tournament bids, before joining Cimino at St. Francis Brooklyn prior to the 2021-22 season. Isme earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from NYIT in 2012 and went on to earn his master’s in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021.

“I’m excited Rob is joining us at Dartmouth as he was instrumental in our record-breaking year at St. Francis Brooklyn during the 2021-22 season,” Cimino said. “He was extremely effective in our post development, most notably with Sarah Bandoma, who recently transferred to Providence. Rob is as loyal as they get and I’m happy he will be leading our recruiting efforts.”

Reaves joins the Big Green after spending three seasons as the head coach at Central Connecticut State, where she previously served as an assistant coach for 13 seasons. Reaves played an integral role in a 14-win improvement early in her tenure with the Blue Devils, having helped guide the team from four wins in her first season (2007-08) to 18 victories during the 2008-09 campaign, marking the program’s highest win total since the 1989-90 season. CCSU went on to win its first-ever NEC regular season title in 2014-15.

Reaves previously gained head coaching experience at Division II Saint Leo University (2002-05) between two separate stints as an assistant coach at Providence (1996-02 and 2005-07), where she coached six All-Big East honorees across eight total seasons with the Friars. A 1995 First Team All-Great Midwest honoree, Reaves was a standout at Marquette with more than 1,000 career points to her credit, as well as the program record for free throws made in a season. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1996.

“I’ve known Kerri for years and have always respected her as a coach and recruiter,” said Cimino. “With over 20 years of Division I coaching experience, she will provide valuable insight and will be a great resource for me as we lay the foundation to move this program forward.”

Moore comes to Hanover after spending the 2022-23 season as a graduate assistant at Marshall. With the Thundering Herd, she assisted in managing several aspects of the program, including scouting and player development. Specifically, she worked with junior guard Abby Beeman, who ranked among the top 25 nationally in assists per game.

She played collegiately at Binghamton, where she appeared in 100 games and logged 47 starts over four seasons, and earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies in 2022. She is pursuing a master’s in leadership studies from Marshall.

“Although I recruited and signed her, I never had the chance to coach Hayley, but I fell in love with her game and leadership skills the minute I met her,” Cimino said. “I told her if she wanted to coach, I would give her an opportunity. Here we are six years later and I’m thrilled to have her join our staff. She’s a natural leader and will be great in this role for us.”

The experienced coaching staff will lead a roster that features nine returners, including each of the top-three scorers from the 2022-23 season.
