Cory Hitchcock Named USW Women’s Head Basketball Coach

The University of the Southwest Athletic office is pleased to announce that Mr. Cory Hitchcock will be the new Women’s Head Basketball Coach for the University of the Southwest.

Coach Hitchcock is coming from Glenwood Springs High School in Glenwood Springs, Colorado where he was the boys Head Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. Coach Hitchcock has more than nine years of coaching experience at both the High School and Collegiate levels. At Glenwood Springs, he has led the program to four league Championships and eight consecutive State Tournament appearances. He brings a wealth of game knowledge, player development experience, fundraising success, and passion to the USW Mustang Women’s Basketball program. “Coach Hitchcock is a proven winner,” University of the Southwest Interim Director of Athletics Steve Appel said. “I am confident he will continue that tradition here at USW. We are extremely pleased that Coach Hitchcock has brought his coaching and teaching talents to our university and the he will be leading our bright student-athletes and women’s basketball into the future.”
