Le Moyne College Linda M. LeMura Endowed Head Women’s Basketball Coach Nick DiPillo announced on Wednesday the addition of Shelby Case as an assistant coach. Case replaces Casey Filiault, who departed following two years on staff to become the head coach at Stevenson University.

Case comes to Le Moyne following two years at Bucknell University as Assistant Coach and head of basketball operations. The Bison recorded 28 wins in her two years on staff, including 18 victories in Patriot League action and a victory over Colgate in the first round of the 2025 Patriot League Tournament.

“We are thrilled to welcome Shelby Case to The Heights,” said DiPillo. “Shelby brings a tremendous basketball mind, a strong work ethic, success as a student-athlete and experience learning under terrific coaches, most recently at Bucknell. She will have an immediate impact on our player development and will play an important role in continuing to build the culture we are establishing within our program.”

“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to join the Le Moyne Women’s Basketball family,” said Case. “Coach DiPillo has established a strong vision for the program and I am excited to be a part of what is being built here. From the moment I stepped on campus, it was clear that Le Moyne is a special place with outstanding people, a strong culture and a commitment to excellence. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes and helping them grow as players, students and people. I am thankful for Coach DiPillo’s trust in me and for the opportunity to contribute to this program. I can’t wait to get to work alongside our staff and players as we continue building something special together. I am excited for the future of Le Moyne Women’s Basketball and look forward to helping the program compete at a high level, pursue championships and provide an exceptional experience for our student-athletes, both on and off the court.

Case was hired at Bucknell following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at Valparaiso University, where she earned a master’s degree in sports administration.

Case played collegiately at the University of Illinois Chicago before graduating in three years with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, law, and justice. On the court, she appeared in 35 games and made 18 starts over her first two seasons before missing her final year due to injury. She averaged 16.5 minutes per game and scored 96 career points, while collecting 78 rebounds.
