Caleb Henson has resigned as the head women’s basketball coach at DIII Sul Ross State University (TX). He has been replaced on an interim basis by current head men’s basketball coach Clif Carroll.

“I am thankful for the opportunity at Sul Ross and am proud of the progress the program has made over the past few months both on the court and in the classroom,” Henson said. “In my interest to improve the student athletes, I inadvertently made a mistake that regrettably has affected a lot of people I care about. I wish nothing but the best for the future of the women’s basketball team and Sul Ross State University.”

Sul Ross Athletics Director Bobby Mesker said, “We appreciate Caleb’s contributions in raising the quality of Lady Lobo basketball. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Carroll will continue as the interim head coach through the end of the season. The job has been officially posted HERE.
